Harley-Davidson, Inc. Names Lawrence G. Hund President of Financial Services Unit
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) has named Lawrence G. Hund President and Chief Operating Officer of Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Inc. (HDFS), effective June 29. Hund will report to Harley-Davidson, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Wandell. HDFS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson, Inc., provides wholesale financing to Harley-Davidson dealers and retail financing to customers.
Harley-Davidson Announces Executive Changes
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) announced today that John Olin, the Motor Company's Vice President and Controller, will take on the added responsibility of interim Chief Financial Officer for Harley-Davidson, Inc. and that Perry Glassgow, the Company's Vice President and Treasurer, will also serve as the interim President of Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS), effective immediately.
Harley-Davidson Reports First Quarter 2009 Results, Re-Affirms Full-Year Shipment Plans, and Provides Strategy and Restructuring Update
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) reported decreased revenue, net income and diluted earnings per share for the first quarter of 2009 compared to the year-ago period. Worldwide retail sales of Harley-Davidson(R) motorcycles in the first quarter declined 12.0 percent and U.S. retail sales declined 9.7 percent from last year's first quarter.
